GENERAL BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The present general booking conditions govern the contractual relationship between Easy-Chamonix and all customers visiting the website www.easy-chamonix.com that have started the online and/or direct process of reserving a holiday or service.

These general booking conditions apply to all customers regardless of their nationality or place of residence.

All information present on the website is not contractual and may undergo modification at any time (changes in the conditions, prices, new updated information, etc...)

The customer agrees to having read and understood the present conditions before making a reservation either on the Internet website itself or through any other communication method: tel, fax, postal.

 

Art 1 -  Object

Easy-Chamonix.com is an internet commercial window that offers quality services. It specializes mainly in services related to accommodation, sport and travel. Easy-Chamonix also offers security, caretaking, maintenance and decoration services for chalets.

 

Art 2 – Applicable law

The laws applied to the utilisation of the website and to all contractual commitments the customer agreed to via the website, are the current laws of France.

All customers are responsible for and agree to the fact that information entered by them on the Easy-Chamonix website forms is correct and up to date and does not contain any topics or information which may infringe on the current legislation applied in France.

 

Art 3 – Services related to booking

Easy-Chamonix cannot be held responsible for any possible errors caused by a service provider or web host but will strive to offer a new replacement proposition in the event of one occurring.

 

Art 4 - Special Conditions for certain sports

Easy-Chamonix entrusts all available sporting services mentioned on our website, to fully trained professionals of mountain and sport activities. These activities are all submitted to particular conditions for participation.

The high mountain guides, ski and other sports instructors are responsible for the realization or modification of the programme, according to the conditions on the mountain, general weather conditions, and the physical aptitude of participants and of their technical knowledge.

The customer must take note of these conditions and cannot hold Easy-Chamonix liable for any compensation claims related to the points mentioned here.

 

Art 5 – Registration

Customers wishing to reserve by internet, must fill in the form supplied online with the information required for identity purposes as indicated in the form: name, first name, postal address. This information remains strictly confidential.

Customers having chosen those services or products presented in the website must validate their order and/or reservation by confirming their commitment and understanding of the general booking conditions as well as any particular conditions which may, if necessary, complete the present general conditions.

Upon validation of the order and/or reservation made by the customer, Easy-Chamonix will send a confirmation email to the customer.

In order to be considered definitive, all reservations must be accompanied by a 30% deposit.

 

Art 6 – Invoicing – payment

Prices indicated in euros are the current rates in value at the time of booking according to product and service availability.

All payments must be made out to Easy-Chamonix or to one of its service providers.

A deposit must be paid at the time of the registration or order and the “remaining sum” fully paid 60 days before the date of arrival.

For all bookings made less than 60 days before arrival, payment must be made at once and be the full amount of the holiday or service.

Payment can be made either by credit card (Visa or MasterCard), by bank transfer or by cheque in Euros

Credit card payments are fully secured.

Payment by bank transfer may entail extra charges which remain at the customer’s expense.

 

Art 7 - Deposit

Furnished accommodations require a refundable deposit from 300 € to 800 € which will be asked for at the registration process.

           

Art 8 – Cancellation  

56 days before arrival entails the loss of the customer deposit

55 to 42 days before arrival entails a penalty payment equal to 60% of the full holiday cost

41 à 29 days before arrival entails a penalty payment equal to 70% of the full amount

28 à 22 days before arrival entails a penalty payment equal to 90 % of the full amount

21 à 0 days before departure entails a penalty payment equal to 100% of the holiday cost

In the event of the customer cancelling their holiday or service, Easy-Chamonix must be informed by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt as early as possible.

The date of the letter’s acknowledgement of receipt will be used as the date for stopping any further cancellation penalty fees.

 

Art 9 – Insurance

THE CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE IN THE APARTMENT / CHALET DURING THEIR STAY.

THE CUSTOMERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BUY INSURANCE TO COVER ANY DAMAGE CAUSED IN THE APARTMENT / CHALET DURING THEIR STAY.

a- Cancellation

Customers should subscribe to cancellation insurance if they wish to avoid being penalised by article 8.

b- Sporting activities

It is compulsory for all customers to subscribe to personal injury insurance in case of accidents.

Certain sporting activities such as paragliding are subjected to a special insurance. This type of insurance will be available on site at the moment of reservation.

Customers can contact AGF insurance in Oyonnax, a company which Easy-Chamonix has been successfully working with for some time now (Mme Anny Barberis). Tel / 04 74 81 98 40 Fax/ 04 74 73 42 90.  

Any reserved holiday cut short or any service not availed of due to the customer’s fault or decision, for any reasons whatsoever, will not be refunded.

Any booked services that were not used will not be refunded. The total amount will be invoiced in its entirety.
